Hope the holidays were good to everyone.
And no, that headline doesn’t mean The Hungry Black Bird will be housebroken. We’ve been plugging away, trying to get the book ready to print on CreateSpace.
After the holidays I put Artie Zahn to work designing borders for each of the images in The Hungry Black Bird. We decided that was the best way to deal with the fact that none of the book sizes available from CreateSpace match the ratio we used for the Kindle images. It’s been a lot of work, but it looks great. Can’t wait to see it in print. When you open the book, all those two-page spreads will be 10X16 inches. Awesome!
In the mean time, I’ve been busy figuring out how to reformat The Hungry Black Bird for CreateSpace. After reading 2 or 3 books and countless online posts, I stumbled across a brief (1,000 word) explanation that seems to be better than all the others combined. If it actually works, I’ll be sure to post a link.
Before the holidays, Artie got caught up designing gifts for family members. Very pleased with the items he had made by Red Bubble…Not as happy with stuff from another company (initials C.P.). He will definitely be putting some of his artwork on items for sale on Red Bubble in the future.
Happy New Year,
